Sometimes we become comfortable with our routines perhaps too comfortable! One day is much like the next, and life seems predictable. But the truth is: one day things will be very different, because one day King Jesus will return! He will “destroy the devil’s work” (I John 3:8), and there will be “a new heaven and a new earth in which righteousness dwells” (II Peter 3:13). Knowing this should change how we think, what we value, and how we live. Jesus teaches us to pray for that day and to prepare for that day! Today, as we continue our study of The Lord’s Prayer, Pastor Brink will talk about Praying for the Victory of God. It’s revolutionary!

Bible Reading: Matthew 6:10a and Revelation 21:1-5a

Today Pastor Brink continues our seasonal sermon series, called Christmas Is a War Story.

Bible  Verse: Revelation 12

This morning Pastor Brink concludes our summer series.  We have been studying about what Jesus is doing for us today from the throne room where He is seated as Lord and King.  From the book of Revelation today, we learn that Jesus is preparing for His return, when He will make all things “new.”  What a day of rejoicing that will be!  And if we yearn for that day, it should change how we live today!
Message: Revelation 21:1-5

Today Pastor Brinks wraps up our mini-series, “Come Up and See.”  It’s based on the vision found in Revelation 4 & 5, where God gives the Apostle John (and us) a peek into heaven.  Do you know what’s going on in heaven today?  It is a busy place, that’s for sure!  And the good news is: We can be part of heaven’s activity, now already.  Today we are looking at the five songs found in these two short chapters.

Message: Revelation 4:8-11 and 5:9-14

Today Pastor Brink continues our mini-series, based on the vision found in Revelation 4 and 5.  The series is called “Come Up and See,” an echo of Jesus’ invitation in Revelation 4:1.  Today we learn that the future is not bleak, because there is a Lamb who has triumphed, and that Lamb now rules like a Lion and is also The Lord of History.  In and through Him, God will make good all His promises.

This Vision brought comfort to suffering 1st century Christians; it can do the same for us today.  Maybe God wants you to share this hope with someone this week!
Message: Revelation 5:1-10

Today Pastor Brink begins a new mini-series, “Come Up and See,” based on chapters 4 & 5 of Revelation.  Last fall we studied the first three chapters, where the theme is: Jesus Christ, Lord of the Church.  In this section, we will look at the second major vision of Christ in Revelation, where the theme is: Jesus Christ, Lord of History.

Message: Revelation 4

Today Pastor Brink concludes our Fall sermon series.  We have carefully studied the message of Jesus to seven churches in Asia Minor, as recorded in Revelation 2 & 3.  Today we wrap up this series by stepping away from the canvass and asking:  What have we learned about Jesus?  After all, the first words in this book – which serve almost as the title – are these: “The revelation of Jesus Christ!” We want to know Jesus!

Message: Revelation 3:19-22

Today Pastor Brink continues our studies on Revelation 2 and 3.  Next week we wrap up this journey with Jesus to the 7 churches of Asia Minor.  But isn’t it striking how relevant these messages are for the church today, and in every age?  Today we visit the city of Laodicea, another church where people thought they were spiritually OK, but Jesus knew otherwise.  Thankfully, Jesus is gracious.  He has the answer. No he IS the answer!

Message: Revelation 3:14-22

Today Pastor Bonny continues our studies on Revelation 2 and 3, which we’re calling “Christ and the Candlesticks.”  It’s a journey with Jesus to the 7 churches of Asia Minor, with lessons for the church in every age.  Today we visit the ancient city of Philadelphia, where the Christians were being persecuted yet stayed faithful.  Here we learn about the door that christ holds open for his people to commune with him to give comfort in their suffering.  The door also is wide open for others whom He is calling through us – are we taking advantage of the opportunity?

Message: Revelation 3:7-13

Today Pastor Brink continues our studies on Revelation 2 and 3, which we’re calling “Christ and the Candlestick.”  Its a journey with Jesus to the 7 churches of Asia Minor, with lessons for the church in every age.  Today we visit the ancient city of Sardis, where complacency led to disaster.  Here we learn that character (what we are) is more important than reputation (what people think we are).  And nobody’s opinion is more important than Jesus.  We need fresh encounters with the Living Lord.

Message: Revelation 3:1-6
