Today Pastor Brink continues our series on “Biblical foundations.’  the design of this series is to teach some basic doctrines that will help us understand the bible and the Christian walk at a deeper level.  It also gives us an expanded capacity for understanding & sharing the gospel with others.  Today we will ask the seemingly simple question:  “What is True Faith?”  we will discover that the answer is not so simple; it is challenging, but also transformational and rewarding.

Bible Verse:  Hebrews 10:19-25, 32-39

Thanksgiving meditation by pastor Dan Brink

Bible Verse: Hebrews 13:5

Today Pastor Brink will present the final message on our summer theme, “Meet Me at the Mountain!” We’ve been studying stories where people have met God on a mountain-top or a mountain-side.  Today we examine the privilege which is ours – to worship God on Mt. Zion in the company of saints and angels, and to be part of God’s forever family that is found in every part of the world today.

Bible Verse: Hebrews 12:18-29

Today our guest pastor, Rev. Al Mulder, will bring us the message from Hebrews 11-12, focusing on faith. Whatever our stage or status in life, ultimately our life and our life’s purpose are held together by faith in Jesus Christ. Rev. Mulder (father of Pastor Bonny) has had a long and fruitful career as a missionary pastor, and also has served as a senior leader in our denominational Home Missions agency. He is retired, but still involved in regional ministry and his home church. Thank you for bringing us the Word today.

Bible Verse: Hebrews 11:1-12:a

Today we continue our fall series, entitled “Body-Building 101.”  We’re talking about “The Body of Christ” – that is, the church.  Pastor Bonny will be talking about the importance of being there for one another, and some of the ways that we can encourage and spur one another on in the journey of faith.

Message: Hebrews 10:19-25

On Sunday mornings this summer, we’re talking about what Jesus has done for us lately, since his ascension into heaven. Today Pastor Bonny explains one of the most comforting promises in the Bible:  Jesus is hearing our prayers!

Message: Hebrews 4:14-16

This morning Pastor Brink shows us another remarkable way in which Jesus is working on our behalf.  From his throne in heaven, Jesus both watches over us and prays for us.  “Interceding for us at God’s right hand” – that’s how Paul puts it in romans 8:34.  Pretty amazing thought, isn’t it?  What better prayer partner could you have than Jesus? Today he is “standing in the gap” for you!

Message: I John 2:1, Hebrews 7:23, Romans 8:33-34

Today Pastor Brink continues our Lenten studies about “The Cross of Christ,”  which is the centerpiece of biblical faith.  We will explore the secrets of Jesus’ perseverance in suffering, with the hope that we may also learn how to persevere in the cross-bearing to which Jesus has called us.

Message: Hebrews 12:1-3

Today Pastor Bonny continues the new Lenten series of messages entitled The Cross of Christ.  The cross is the centerpiece of the Bible and of the life and ministry of Christ.  Today we will reflect on the necessity for Jesus to make the ultimate sacrifice of his life in order that we might be saved.  For without the shedding of the blood.  The blood of Christ covers all of our sin, thanks be to God!

Message: Hebrews 9:11-22

Today Pastor Brink continues our summer sermon series, “Flying Upside Down!” The point is that Jesus takes the values of the world & turns them on their head.  Christianity is counter-culture; we march to the beat of a different drum.  Today’s Word from God will likely challenge you greatly and call you out of your comfort zone — but it’s also an invitation to a wonderful adventure with Jesus.  Listen to His voice!

Message: Hebrews 13:1-2 and Luke 14:12-14
