Today is the Day of Pentecost, when The Holy Spirit was poured out on all believers.  In this message we will examine why we need The Holy Spirit, what it means to be “filled with the Spirit,”  and how we can cooperate with God to make that happen.

Bible Verse: Ephesians 5:15-20

What is the best way to witness to others about the good news of Jesus? Through love, with humility and gentleness, in relationship, as we do life together. That’s the “family method” that the Apostle Paul lays out, as he compares himself to a young child, a nursing mother, and a loving father as he ministered among the people of his church plant in Thessalonian. Our homes and church should be a place where people take notice of the way we love one another out of our love for Christ.

Bible Verse: I  Thessalonians 2:6-12

Pastor Bonny Mulder-Behnia

Bible Reading: John 4:13-14

Pastor Dan Brink brings the message today on this Gems and Cadets Sunday.

Message: Psalm 119:9-16

This morning our Bible Adventure comes from the book of Jonah, which is presented by the GEMS drama team. Jonah (played by Janna) runs away from God when he is sent to bring the message of salvation to a wicked people. Pastor Dan then contrasts the Jonah story with Isaiah 6:8, where God asks “Whom shall I send?” and Isaiah responds with “Here Am I! Send Me” The question for us all is how we will respond to God’s call to bring the message of salvation to a lost and broken world.

Message: Isaiah 6:8

Since we are focusing today on our children’s ministries, Pastor Brink will examine what might be the very best-known Bible verse among Jewish people, both in Old Testament times and still today. These verses show us that “Life’s Most Important Priorities” include loving God and teaching our children and grandchildren to do the same. This message will provide some practical insights and suggestions about how to make that happen.

Message: Deuteronomy 6:1-10

We make a multitude of choices every day of our lives, yet some choices are foundational. By taking a closer look at the story of Daniel in the Den of Lions, Pastor Bonny challenges us to consider the choices that matter most.  God can use our obedience to make a difference in His Kingdom!

Message: Daniel 6:10

A Special GEMS and CADETS Sunday Service. Pastor Dan Brink reads from II Timothy 1:3-7.
