This morning our Bible Adventure comes from the book of Jonah, which is presented by the GEMS drama team. Jonah (played by Janna) runs away from God when he is sent to bring the message of salvation to a wicked people. Pastor Dan then contrasts the Jonah story with Isaiah 6:8, where God asks “Whom shall I send?” and Isaiah responds with “Here Am I! Send Me” The question for us all is how we will respond to God’s call to bring the message of salvation to a lost and broken world.

Message: Isaiah 6:8

Today Pastor Brink will explain to us how an ancient promise of God was fulfilled on the Day of Pentecost – a promise and a reality that we could experience in no other way than through the Holy Spirit.  It’s called “The Gift of a New Heart.”  Do you have a heart after God today?  If not, then you need a “heart transplant.”  The good new is: The Doctor is in the house!  Listen carefully today to see what Jesus is doing and saying to you.  Maybe you know someone else who needs this message too.

Message:  Jeremiah 31:31-34

Today Pastor Bonny will preach on a portion of the same passage that Pastor Brink opened for us last week.  Our focus today will be one of the main items of “clothing” that Paul calls Christians to put on: gratitude.  When we consider all that God has done for us, how can we ever thank Him enough?  Even in difficult times, we can be thankful that God never leaves us and never lets go.  What are you grateful for today?

Message: Colossians 3:15-17

Today Pastor Brink will preach on a text well-suited for the post-Easter season.  It explains a lot about our identity, seen in light of the death and resurrection of Christ.  It also challenges us to live like the people whom God has called us to be.  Although this is not really part of the Revelation 4 and 5 series, you will (hopefully) see how The Apostle John’s vision and The Apostles Paul’s challenge fit together remarkably well.

Message: Colossians 3:1-17

Today Pastor Brinks wraps up our mini-series, “Come Up and See.”  It’s based on the vision found in Revelation 4 & 5, where God gives the Apostle John (and us) a peek into heaven.  Do you know what’s going on in heaven today?  It is a busy place, that’s for sure!  And the good news is: We can be part of heaven’s activity, now already.  Today we are looking at the five songs found in these two short chapters.

Message: Revelation 4:8-11 and 5:9-14
