On this Pentecost Sunday, we remember how Jesus poured out his Holy Spirit upon the church – a gift that keeps on giving. But today there seems to be a lot of confusion surrounding the work of the Spirit. How do you know if you “have the Holy Spirit?” What does it mean to be “filled with the Holy Spirit?” In this message Pastor Brink suggests thinking of the Holy Spirit as our friend, God-with-us, our traveling companion through the journey of life.  Specifically, Pastor Dan unwraps the commands of Ephesians 4:30 (“Do not grieve the Holy Spirit”) and of Ephesians 5:18 (“Instead, be filled with the Spirit”), suggesting practical ways to cultivate the presence of God in our lives today.

Message: Ephesians 4:25-32 and 5:15-20

Ascension Day does not leave us in a Christ-deserted world; it leads us to a Christ-filled world.  In this message Pastor Dan Brink explains why Ascension Day is one of the most important of all the Christian holidays, yet probably the least understood and most neglected.  It’s the day the conquering King took the throne of the universe.  It’s why we say “Jesus IS Lord!”  And what a difference this makes in our lives today!

Message: Ephesians 4:7-13

Pastor Dan Brink concludes our post-Easter Bible adventure called “It’s a new Life!” In this series we will explore how Christians are called to live in an Easter reality all year long, even after the event has come and gone.

Message: Romans 8:28-39
